RMUN – Rajagiri Model United Nations

Engage in Dialogue | Foster Tolerance | Build Leaders

Rajagiri Public School was established in 1994 by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) of the Sacred Heart Province, Rajagiri, Kalamassery.

The CMI Vision of Education consists in ‘the formation of the human person for the fulfilment of their individual and responsibilities’. It aims at “forming leaders who will champion the cause of justice, love, truth and peace, and who are ever open to further growth”. Education for complete living has been the watchword of all its educational projects and programmes.

Rajagiri Public School stands as yet another landmark in the ‘abode of learning’ that is the Rajagiri campus. It imparts quality education and an enriching learning environment in order to optimise the overall development of each child, and help realise their full potential. It focuses on moulding youth into caring, confident individuals, who will uphold moral and spiritual values and eventually earn their place as productive, responsible members of the society.

The students of Rajagiri Public School have left their mark in all regional, national and international MUNs that they have participated in, bringing laurels to our school.

Rajagiri takes great pride in its MUN club, an organisation whereby Rajagirians train their own peers to master the craft of MUN. Convened once a month for students starting from class 6, the MUN club tries to imbibe in its members the virtues of a good MUNner, clubbed with diplomacy and a sense of togetherness, through the execution of a series of procedures.

Rajagiri Public School has been actively participating in the Harvard Model United Nations India (HMUN INDIA) programme since the year 2011, bagging numerous awards over the years for the same. They also have participated in the World Federation Of United Nations Association International Model United Nations (WIMUN) programme between the years 2016 to 2019, where they bagged the Best Delegation Award consecutively for 2 years. The MUN team from Rajagiri Public School has also participated in The Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN) programme in Singapore. The years 2017-18 and 2022-23 also witnessed the participation of Rajagiri Public School students in Harvard Model United Nations Boston (HMUN BOSTON) programme .
